Huge congratulations to Mickael Guyot, winner of the 2013 Dunlop 'Design The Drive' Competition. Mickael's winning livery for our JMW Ferrari 458 will be unveiled at this year's Le Mans 24 Hour race. We are thrilled to be showcasing his design which celebrates 2013 being Dunlop's 125th anniversary.

Mickael faced stiff competition with hundreds of entries from 21 countries. We would like to extend a further well done to all the regional finalists; you gave our judges, JMW Team Owner Jim McWhirter, Dunlop Europe's Managing Director Sanjay Khanna and Dunlop Motorsport's General Manager Jean-Felix Bazelin, a tough choice! This is the fifth year of the competition and each year we are astounded and excited by your creativity.

Mickael is no stranger to Le Mans - he was born there. This will be his 20th visit to the iconic race but will definitely stand out from other year's we are sure. Mickael will join us for the official unveiling of his winning livery on 8th June, followed by a behind-the-scenes look of testing the following day. Then time to rest before returning to the track for the big race on 22nd-23rd June.

On winning, 38-year old Mickael said

“My main inspiration for the design was to highlight the 125th anniversary of Dunlop. This is why we find the 125th anniversary logo next to the portrait of the creator of the world famous brand. Looking at the car, the spectators at Le Mans and those around the world watching on screens will know that it is Dunlop’s anniversary. But, as is a manufacturer Dunlop tyre, I stamped on the front and roof of the car a tyre imprint. The design on the back is there to give a sense of speed to the car.

“Winning is like one part of me is involved in this legendary race. I am the happiest 24H of Le Mans fan.  This is the most amazing thing that could happen to me. During the week, I hope that the design of the JMW Motorsport Ferrari will be well received by the public. I hope she gets noticed on the track.”

We look forward to welcoming Mickael to the JMW family in Le Mans!

And we are excited to meet you too! I love Mr Dunlop's picture features on this design. I wonder what he would think, 125 years later or where Dunlop are now?
